Vitamin B15 Pangamic Acid
Vitamin B15 also known as Pangamic Acid is a water soluble Vitamin.
Its value as being essential to human life has not
been supported (in the U.S.) so in the classic sense of the word it is
not considered a vitamin by some.
Pangamic Acid was introduced By Drs. Ernest Krebs,
Sr. and Jr. along with laetrile
(Vitamin B17) and as well as researched by the Soviets.
Most of the reported information is gathered from soviet studies.
The Soviets felt that Pangamic Acid was an important nutrient and could
be used to treat a variety of diseases and help speed recovery from
fatigue, lower blood cholesterol levels, protect against pollutants,
relieve symptoms of angina and asthma, protect the liver against
cirrhosis, ward of hangovers, stimulate immunity response and aid in
protein synthesis.
At the time that I'm writing this web page.
Vitamin B15 has been taken off the market per the FDA.
Dimethylglycine (DMG) has been reported as good substitute because it
is an active component of Pangamic Acid and combines with Gluconic Acid
to form Pangamic Acid.
The best food sources for Pangamic Acid are brown
rice, brewer's yeast, grains, as well as sunflower and pumpkin seeds.
For the best sources of Vitamin B15
